01Quick Facts
02Participation Categories and Seats
The application page I saw lists five categories. Merit decides the funded ones, and the page says a funded package may include airfare support, accommodation, meals and programme access. The word is "may", not "will".
Two things do not line up. The banner promises 100 funded scholarship seats, yet the four funded rows above add up to 115. Some listing sites also quote 10 fully funded and 30 partially funded places instead. Treat every seat number as unconfirmed until the organisers state it in writing.
The official IVF page I checked tells a third story. It lists 15 fully funded seats, 30 partially funded seats and 65 fellowship access passes, and it prices the access passes at $250 or $350 and self-funded seats at $450 or $600. That does not match the "Free Fellowship Access" label on the application page. Check the live official page and ask the organisers which numbers apply to you.
The page also says applicants who miss the funded category are automatically considered for other participation categories. In practice that can mean being offered a self-funded seat, so decide in advance what you will do if that happens.
03How to Apply
The form is short and fully online. Keep these ready before you open it:
The motivation answer is the only part where you can stand out, so write it specifically. Name what you have done, what you want to learn in Bangkok and what you will bring back. Generic lines about "making a difference" are what every other applicant will send.
04Application Fee in Rupees and Dollars
When I reached the payment page from India, it offered both options. The rupee price uses a rate of 1 USD = 99.0647 INR, which the page says includes a 4% conversion fee. The checkout is run under the name Universal Youth Alliance and accepts cards and Link.
The rate can change, so check the live amount at checkout. If you pay in dollars, your own bank may add its foreign-transaction charges on top, so compare both options before you commit.
The fee is paid when you submit, so assume it will not come back if you are not selected. Ask about refunds before paying.
05Check These Before You Pay
Fellowships that ask for money deserve a few minutes of homework. Here is what I check:
